Dodo Film Lab is a family run business offering a range of lab services and selling film to photographers of every level, whether you’ve been shooting on film since before it was a choice, or if you’re only just starting to experiment with film.

We’re run by husband and wife team Michael & Savannah.

Michael has been interested in photography since he was a kid but discovered it more seriously at college. Savannah is the business brains behind the operation, though she can often be seen out with a polaroid camera on sunny walks.

The inspiration behind opening their own film lab started after a visit to their local film lab. After seeing the film stored in a warm glass cabinet and prices that were… less than appealing, they decided: We can do better than this!

So Dodo Film Lab was created, specifically to offer a wide range of film, stored carefully, at fair prices.

Our Approach

At Dodo Film Lab quality comes first. We were photographers first and every roll is treated with the same care we would want our own rolls treated.

Why “Dodo”?

We’d love to say it’s a smart play on the fact film has been declared extinct, but Dodo is actually just the nickname for our doxiepoo (dachshund x poodle) Doris.
