Returns Policy
Our philosophy is simple, to provide a high quality range of good and services so people like yourself can get out and make memories. Simple right?
But we know from time to time mistakes happen, so whether we haven’t lived up to our own standards, or if you decide black and white film was “so yesterday” we’ll make sure we make things up to you.
That’s why if you receive an item you no longer want, or it arrives damaged you have 30 days to contact us and arrange a refund.
Sit down, this is where things get serious….
In order to get a refund items which are no longer wanted can be returned to us. We don’t charge a restocking fee, we just ask that in these instances you cover the return cost. How you get it to us is up to you. You can post tracked and insured or Sellotape it to a pigeon, it doesn’t matter as long as it reaches us in a resalable condition (pigeons may not be the best option), which means unopened and undamaged.
If the item arrives to you damaged, we will put things right with you either by refunding you the item cost or by sending out a new item. We will sometimes ask for the item back, but if we do we usually don’t pass this cost on to you. We do need proof of the damage so take some photos, and send them over. If really messed up we’ll just refund you and you can do what you wish with the item. Maybe it’ll make a nice conversation piece in your living room, maybe you’ll shoot with it anyway and become an award winning photographer who can never quite recapture the magic that the film that arrived damaged had. Or you can just chuck it in the bin/toilet. What we’re saying is if it arrives damaged we’ll normally just refund you or send out a replacement and you can do with the original item want you want.
There are some limits in what we can refund:
We cant refund used film
We know its a bummer when you get the film back from the lab and the images aren’t quite right, unfortunately there are too many factors outside of our control to provide assurances that once the item leaves our hands and is put through a camera to offer refunds on items. However please do contact us! Its fair to say we’ve shot some film here in the past, its also fair to say (talking exclusively for myself here) that I’ve shot some film that hasn’t come out right, whether it be light leaks, airport x-ray machines, not setting the ISO properly…. I could go on. Drop us a message and some photos and we’ll try our best to suggest fixes.
We cant refund items we’ve ordered in especially for you
Some of our film (mainly large format) we don’t stock normally, instead we order this in from the manufacturer just because you’ve asked so nicely. This means you’re getting the freshest film available and we don’t have large boxes of 8×10 in the fridge just waiting for you to come along. This does mean that once ordered we’re limited in what we can do if you change your mind.
Lab processes cant be refunded if you change your mind
We get started on these quickly so once the balls rolling its hard to hit the brakes. Sorry.
So I think that covers it. Have an issue or no longer need something let us know within 30 days and we’ll make sure we put things right.
