Turnaround Times For The Film Lab

Our current turnaround times can be found bellow.

Please note these are a guide only and while we try to update them to remain accurate, during busy periods we may see a slight delay.

Sending multiply types of film to us? If sending a mix of film types and formats we may split these up into separate jobs by type so you will receive scans as and when they are completed instead of when the whole order is ready. This means if you send Colour and Slide film in you’re not waiting for all your scans to be ready before we send them to you. We will communicate this with you when the order is booked in.

Colour (C41)

3-5 Days

All C41 films are processed in the same way, so when we receive your C41 film it simple joins the queue of other C41 films we have in.

This does account for the bulk of the films we get in.

Black & White

Every black & white film requires a different processing time which is set by the manufacturer. We can process several films of the same make and type at the same time. This means that some films, common films we see a lot of like HP5+, may have less time to wait while other films, less common niche films, may instead have to wait for their turn.

Black and White is a much more hands on process for us so while we see less B&W than we do colour, it is more labour intensive with some rolls requiring a long development time.

3-5 Days

Slide (E6)

One Week

E6 film is the least common film we see here. It requires a hands on process like Black & White but with more a standardised process like C41.

Because the chemicals don’t like being stored, we batch process E6 film once a week, only mixing up the required chemicals once a week to process these films.
